Pax Christi International has also established strategic partnerships in West Africa. For example, in the Ivory Coast the Centre de Recherche et d’Action pour la Paix (CERAP), works in partnership with Pax Christi International to organise interfaith relations, train school teachers for peace education and strengthen the role of civil society in Guinea for promoting inter-communal reconciliation

In Sierra Leone, Pax Christi International is assisting to rebuild the country's Justice and Peace Commissions through training and organisational seminars. Pax Christi is also working with the Development Network of Liberia (DEN-L) to accompany a process of Sustained Dialogue between the Mandingo and Lorma communities in Lofa County, where post-war tensions have remained high.
