UK: Upcoming events throughout summer and fall published in Pax Christi UK newsletter

 

7/7/19 - Pax Christi UK has published the latest edition of their online newlsetter. In this edition, they feature a number of upcoming events this summer and fall which make for a good time for peace planning & peacemaking:

  • June 28-30: "Discovering a God who Hungers for Justice": Weekend at the Catholic Worker Farm, led by Pax Christi, Faith & Resistance Network and FaithJustice.
  • June 29: MAW Day Conference "Save the Earth, Abolish War": A full day examining militarism and the environment.
  • July 26-28: NJPN Conference (see above)
  • August 6 and 9: Hiroshima & Nagasaki Days - Join Pax Christi outside Westminster Cathedral for these important days of remembrance, witness and prayer.
  • August 9: Blessed Franz Jagerstatter Vigil and Peace walks will take place at Westminster Cathedral Crypt to commemorate the anniversary of his death. 
  • September 3: No Faith in War - Stop DSEI Arms Fair 2019 - A day for Faith groups to gather in prayer and witness against the Arms Fair at the Excel Centre, London.
  • September 9: Silent candle-lit vigil on the eve of the Arms Fair. Be a witness for a world without weapons.
  • The World Week of Prayer for Israel and Palestine will take place this September. More details to follow in the Summer.
