Pax Christi Metro New York: Hiroshima/Nagasaki 68th Anniversary
Pax Christi Metro New York invites everyone to remember those killed in the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and pray for the abolition of nuclear weapons. To this end, a commemoration event will be held on Sunday, 4 August, in Casserly Hall below St. Joseph’s Greenwich Village Church, Washington Place and Sixth Avenue. Maryknoll Sisters Jean Fallon and Kathleen Reiley will give an address entitled “From Hiroshima to Fukushima – The Nuclear Threat Continues”. Following the talk and discussion, there will be a solemn procession to Fr. Demo Square for a silent vigil. For further details, visit www.nypaxchristi.org.
