Germany: Pax Christi delivers petition to German bishops' conference

Father Langendörfer recently took 7,321 signatures from the petition, "To the bishops: Pax Christi, not painting", and 1,420 postcards stating "We need peace". Fr. Langendörfer, the head of the Secretariat of the German Bishops' Conference, looked back on a constructive discussion with Pax Christi, emphasizing that the critique of the conclusion regarding their support of Pax Christi is also taken very seriously in relation to other areas. The mobilisation activities of Pax Christi were remarkable and showed that Pax Christi has many friends - that is a good sign.

How the financial support in the next few years will be exactly, he could not yet say, as the bishops need to discuss further.

The Pax Christi Federal President, Wiltrud Rösch-Metzler, presented the signatures with Pax Christi President Bishop Algermissen and Pax Christi general secretary Christine Hoffmann at the meeting place of the bishops in Berlin.
