Africa: Pax Christi International hires new Africa Regional Coordinator

Pax Christi International is pleased to announce that a new member has joined the International Secretariat. Starting last week, A. Dieudonné Serukabuza has been hired to be the new Africa Regional Coordinator.
Following up on the regional conference that took place in South Africa with member organisations of Pax Christi International from across the continent, Mr. Serukabuza will begin to implement the decisions and strategies which were explored and serve as the primary liaison between the International Secretariat and African member organisations.
Mr. Serukabuza is a Belgian national, originally from Rwanda, who knows the Great Lakes region, Central Africa and West Africa well. He worked for ten years as head of development projects and as a country representative of different NGOs, including the International Centre for Development and Research. His work included supervision and coordination of development projects and he brings a wide range of experience working with local partners, associations and communities on human rights, access to healthcare, food and economic security, peace-building and conflict resolution, and networking between partners and civil society organisations.
"I am very happy to join Pax Christi International," said Mr. Serukabuza. "I look forward to working at the global level and especially with Pax Christi International member organisations in Africa."
