Mid-March is the fifth anniversary of the violent protests in Syria have been launched for basic rights and freedoms. Countless Syrians have since been the victim of a brutal repression and a brutal war. Pax Christi International has launched a call on this occasion to acts of solidarity, prayer and fasting #HopeforSyria .
Pax Christi Flanders and ORBIT association set a sign of hope in cooperation with Brother Delen, the Network for Justice and Peace and our French sister organizations. On Thursday, March 17th from 12 am to 15 pm in the church of the Assistance, Coal Market 89 in the center of Brussels we are in solidarity with all victims of the war and certainly with Syrian refugees here with us.

- 12:15 am to 13 pm: introduction and listen to our involvement in the tragedy in Syria
- 13 pm to 14 pm time of silent prayer and silent interfaith meditation, several times interrupted by a song in Arabic and / or Dutch and French, and a petition from various religious traditions
- 14 pm and 15 pm: sharing our pain and hope, listen to the story of our Syrian friends and moment of encounter with a cup of tea offered by them.
