Global Article 9 Campaign to Abolish War: Call for Action (23/10/2009)

Pax Christi International is an active supporter of the Global Article 9 Campaign.
Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution renounces war as a means of settling international disputes and prohibits the maintenance of armed forces and other war potential.
Pax Christi International wishes to revitalise the campaign and give our Member Organisations an update on the current situation. You are invited for action!
It is important to show solidarity with our Member Organisation, the Japan Catholic Council for Justice and Peace, and advocate with them on this important issue which seeks to eliminate the chance of the war and spread a message of “no war, no military”.
To this end, we urge all our Member Organisations in Asia Pacific to take action.
